Error 64 occurs when you’re using Kinect

Problem

You see the following error message and code when you use your Kinect sensor:

Kinect couldn’t hear the whole calibration tone.

Error code 64

If you see error code 64 when you’re using Kinect, it means the Kinect sensor microphone is having a problem hearing you.

Solutions

Solution 1: Select “More info” and then “Try again”

When you get the error, select More Info to see suggestions on how to correct the problem. After you make the suggested changes, select Try Again to run the test again.

Solution 2: Make sure that the Kinect sensor is positioned correctly

Solution 3: Request a repair

If the first two solutions didn’t resolve the issue, go to the Online Service Centre and click Start request to request a repair.
