Error 809B1080 occurs when you use Xbox 360 Kinect

You see the following error code and message when you use your Xbox 360 Kinect Sensor:

Kinect microphone is not detected.

809B1080

This means the Kinect sensor microphone is having trouble hearing you.

Solutions

Solution 1: Select "More info" and then "Try again"

When you get the error, select More Info to see suggestions on how to correct the problem. After you make the suggested changes, select Try Again to see if the microphone is hearing you now.

Solution 2: Make sure that the Kinect sensor is positioned correctly

Solution 3: Use the Kinect Tuner

Solution 4: Request a repair
