Error 8AC8000D occurs when you’re using Kinect for Xbox 360

You see the following error message when you’re using Kinect for Xbox 360:

Couldn't hear the calibration tone

8AC8000D

This means that your Kinect microphone is having a problem hearing you. The problem may be that the microphone isn’t calibrated correctly or isn’t positioned correctly.

Solutions

Solution 1: Select “More info” and then “Try again”

On your console, select More Info to see suggestions on how to correct the problem. After you make the suggested changes, select Try Again.

If you keep getting the error, try the next solution.

Solution 2: Make sure that the Kinect sensor is positioned correctly

Solution 3: Request a repair
