Error 8015DC01 occurs when you use Xbox One

You see the following error code when you use Xbox One:

8015DC01

This may mean that your console needs an update. If you restart your console, it will automatically download any updates that are available.

Solutions

To resolve this error, try the following solutions:

Solution 1: Check the Xbox Live service status

If you see any alerts here, wait until the service is up and running and try again:

Xbox Live Core Services: up and running

Solution 2: Restart the console

Restart your console to download available updates. Here's how:

  1. Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide.

    Note Double-tapping the Xbox button will open the guide from any other screen on the console.

  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Restart console.
  4. Select Yes to confirm.
  5. Try to play the content again.

Note If you're unable to access the guide or if the console appears to be frozen, press and hold the Xbox button on the console for 10 seconds, until the console turns off. After the console shuts down, touch the Xbox button on the console again to restart.
