Error XBOS3009 occurs when you try to add a trial Xbox Live Gold membership

Problem

You see the following error message when you try to add a trial Xbox Live Gold membership:

You have a Gold Membership already

Give this trial Gold membership to a friend who hasn't tried Gold, and let them see what they've been missing on Xbox Live.

XBOS3009

This means that you have already purchased an Xbox Live Gold membership.

Note You cannot add a trial Xbox Live Gold membership to a paid Xbox Live Gold membership.
