You see the following error code when trying to sync your iTunes music or video library to your Windows Phone 8 using the Windows Phone app for desktop:

8300300B

Solutions

Try the following solutions to resolve this issue.

Solution 1: Uninstall and reinstall app

Uninstall and then reinstall the Windows Phone app for desktop, and then try again.

Solution 2: Restore the default libraries

Try restoring the default libraries, and then syncing your iTunes account again.

Note This procedure does not affect any of the data in the libraries.

  1. Start File Explorer (Windows Explorer in Windows 7).
  2. In the left pane, click Libraries. If you don’t see Libraries listed, click View on the menu at the top of the screen. From the Navigation pane menu, make sure that the Show libraries checkbox is selected.
  3. Select all of the libraries (Documents, Pictures, Music and Videos), right-click, and then click Delete.
  4. In the left pane, select Libraries, right-click and then click Restore default libraries.

This action re-creates the libraries. All of the data in the library folders should now be accessible through File Explorer (or Windows Explorer) libraries.

Solution 3: Sync from the Windows libraries

If you can’t sync from the iTunes library, but you can sync from the Windows libraries, try the following:

  1. Browse to the iTunes library folder in File Explorer (Windows Explorer in Windows 7).
  2. Tap or click the arrow next to Include in library, and then click Music or Video. This should add music or video files to the Windows Phone app for desktop.
  3. Restart the Windows Phone app for desktop, and then try again.

Solution 4: Troubleshoot sync errors

See Fix sync errors between Windows Phone and iTunes (Windows) to troubleshoot sync errors between Windows Phone and iTunes.
