Error 80000010 occurs when you use your Kinect sensor

Problem

You see the following error message and code when you use your Kinect sensor:

The Kinect Sensor needs to restart

80000010

This message means the sensor is busy. You need to wait 90 seconds before turning off your console or playing a game.

Solutions

Solution 1: Turn the console off and then on again

If you get this message, wait at least 90 seconds, and then follow these steps:

1. Turn off your console.

2. If your sensor is very cold, wait for the sensor to reach room temperature (approximately 70°F or 21°C).

3. Turn the console on, and see if you have the same problem.

Solution 2: Request a repair

If the previous solution didn’t resolve the problem, go to the Online Service Center and click Start Request to request a repair.
