Error 62 occurs when you try to play content on your Xbox 360 console

Problem

You see the following error when you try to play content on your Xbox 360 console:

               62-xxxxxxxx

The “x” characters vary. For example, the error may resemble one of the following:

               62-C00D28A2

               62-C00DF239

This may mean that the content is Digital Rights Management-protected and can’t be played on your console.

Solution

To resolve this issue, make sure that the content is licensed for playback on your Xbox 360 console and that the licences are up to date. For more information, including how to refresh licences, see Xbox 360 Digital Rights Management.

If you keep experiencing the problem, contact Xbox Support.
