Error 8C320008 occurs when trying to sign in to Xbox LIVE

You see the following error code and message when you use Xbox LIVE:

There’s a problem with Xbox LIVE. Please try again later
Status code: 8C320008.

This may mean that your account is locked for one of the following reasons:

  • Incorrect or incomplete billing information
  • A balance on your account
  • Too many recent purchase attempts from your Xbox Live account
  • Suspicious or fraudulent behaviour

To resolve this problem, try the following solutions:

Solution 1: Change your Xbox Live payment option and transfer your balance

This error can indicate that you have an expired credit card or an outstanding balance on your Microsoft Account. To add a new card and transfer any outstanding balance, follow the steps on How to change your Xbox Live payment option and transfer your balance.

Solution 2: Contact Xbox Support. If you keep experiencing the problem, contact Xbox Support to determine why your Xbox LIVE account is locked.
