Error 80151904 occurs when signing in to Xbox Live on Xbox 360

You see the following error message when signing in to Xbox Live on your Xbox 360 console:

Sorry, Xbox LIVE profiles can't be downloaded right now. Please try again later.

Status Code 80151904

This may mean that there’s a problem with your connection to Xbox Live.

Solutions

To resolve this problem, try the following solutions.

Solution 1: Clear the system cache

  1. Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings and select System Settings.
  2. Select Storage.
  3. Highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller. (It doesn't matter which storage device you select; the cache will be cleared for all storage devices.)
  4. Select Clear System Cache.
  5. When prompted to confirm storage device maintenance, select Yes.

Solution 2: Network troubleshooting

Go to the network troubleshooter, "I get an error message when I test my Xbox Live connection," and walk through the steps and questions provided to test your connection.

If you continue to have this problem, contact Xbox Support.
