Error CP405 occurs when updating the security code for a payment option

You see the following error code and message when you try to update the security code for your payment option:

CP405

The security code wasn't correct. See how it's written on your credit card, and enter it again.

Solution

To resolve this problem, verify that the security code you entered is correct. If it's incorrect, check how it appears on your credit card, and then enter it again. To verify (or change) the information, go to Change a payment option, select Update a payment option on the left side of the screen, and then follow the instructions.
