Q: What new benefits are coming to Xbox Live Gold?

A: Starting today, June 4, 2014, we’re making Xbox Live Gold even better. Games with Gold is now available on Xbox One, so a single Gold membership will get you bonus games on both Xbox One and Xbox 360. Plus, we’re introducing Deals with Gold for Xbox One which gives members exclusive discounts on games in the Xbox Store. With the most advanced multiplayer, Games with Gold, and Deals with Gold, Xbox Live Gold is better than ever.*

Q: What is included with my Xbox Live Gold membership?

A: With Xbox Live Gold, you get the most advanced multiplayer gaming, bonus games, exclusive member discounts and more. Play games like Titanfall™ and Halo with your friends on a network powered by over 300,000 servers for maximum performance. Your membership includes a growing library of bonus games, and discounts up to 50-75% on games in the Xbox Store. And on Xbox One, it’s even better, with smarter, faster matchmaking and online multiplayer for everyone in your home.*

Q: Will I be able to cancel my Gold membership?

A: Yes. With the Xbox One and Xbox 360 updates now available, Xbox Live Gold members who have purchased a paid membership before June 4, 2014 and activated that membership before June 30, 2014, can cancel and receive a pro-rata refund of any unused remaining days between the date of cancellation and the date their paid Gold membership ends. Cancellation and pro-rata refund requests must be made by August 31, 2014 and require six to eight weeks for processing. Bonus or trial Gold memberships are not eligible for a refund. A: With the changes in place today, this means that everyone can enjoy the amazing gaming, TV and entertainment experiences that Xbox has to offer, right out of the box. With an Xbox One or Xbox 360, you now get access to a vast range of our most popular entertainment apps, including Netflix, Hulu Plus, HBO GO, YouTube, Twitch, ESPN, NFL, Xbox Music, and experiences such as Internet Explorer, Skype, OneDrive, OneGuide, and Upload Studio without needing Xbox Live Gold*.

Q: When will this policy be available on Xbox One and Xbox 360?

A: We’re pleased to announce that the important changes to Xbox Live are now live.

Q: Will this be available in all Xbox One and Xbox 360 markets?

A: Yes, this change applies to all customers in current Xbox One and Xbox 360 markets including any future Xbox One markets.

Games, including Titanfall, Halo, sold separately. Halo Spartan Assault available now on Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Halo for Xbox One release date not yet announced.
