How to get your Xbox product repaired

Overview

Getting your Xbox 360 console or Kinect sensor repaired is easy. Send us your non-working Xbox product and we will repair it. Here’s how it works:

Step 1: Register your Xbox product (if you haven't already)

Time to complete: About 3 minutes

Step 2: Submit an online repair

  • Let us know what problem you’re having with the product.
  • We’ll let you know if the product is in warranty.

  • In-warranty repair: Free
    Out-of-warranty repair original Xbox 360 console: $99 plus tax (submitted online) or $119 plus tax (submitted over the phone)
    Out-of-warranty repair Xbox 360 S or Xbox 360 E console: $79 plus tax (submitted online) or $99 plus tax (submitted over the phone)

  • American Express, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover credit cards are accepted.

Check your warranty status (sign in with your Microsoft account if needed).

Time to complete: About 2 minutes

Step 3: Send us the product

  • Remove all accessories and put only the console or sensor in a shipping box.
  • Attach the provided shipping label to the box and send it to our service center.
  • You can check the repair status by going to myservice.xbox.com.

Time to complete: About 4 to 6 days

Step 4: We service your product

When the product arrives, set it up and get back in the game!

Time to complete: About 6 to 8 days

Turnaround Time
Once we receive your non-working Xbox product at our service center, you should receive a replacement product within 14 to 21 days.

Post-service warranty
The length of the post-service warranty depends on whether the service was in-warranty or out-of-warranty as follows:
  • In-warranty service: If your Xbox 360 console is serviced within the original warranty period (free repair), you receive either the balance of your original warranty or 90 days, whichever is longer.
  • Out-of-warranty service: If your Xbox 360 console is serviced out of the original warranty period (paid repair), your serviced console will have a 90-day warranty.
