How to start a party on Xbox One

Start a party on the Xbox One console

Parties let you gather and chat with your friends and other players through your Xbox One. You can do this with up to 15 people.

Note To start or join a party, you (and those participating) must have a current Xbox Live Gold subscription and be signed in with the gamertag associated with that subscription.

If you're having trouble joining or starting a party, see You can't switch to party chat on Xbox One.

  4. On that friend’s gamercard, select Invite > Invite to a party.

Now you can see your party in the guide.
