View and download game content and add-ons on Xbox One

Many Xbox One games have add-ons such as new in-game items or new playable levels that you can buy from the Xbox Store.

Note

To access your downloads, make sure you're signed in with the Microsoft account you used to purchase and download the content. See How to find games and game content after you redeem a code online on Xbox One for help with automatic downloads of your purchases.

Find games or apps that are currently installed

  1. While on the Home screen, scroll to the right, and then press the A button  on your controller to open My games and apps.
  2. Select Games or Apps.
  3. Your content will appear alphabetically. However, there are four other sort options as you prefer. If you don't see your game or app, scroll down until it appears.

View add-ons for a specific game

If you already own the game and want to see available add-ons to download, select View game details from My games & apps to view any available add-ons on your console. Here’s how:

  1. While on the Home screen, scroll to the right, and then press the A button  on your controller to open My games and apps.
  2. Locate the game, and then press the Menu button .
  3. Select Manage game and then See in Store.

Note

If there are more than eight add-ons available for a title, scroll to the right and select Show All to see them.

If you don’t own the game but want to browse available add-ons in the Store:

  1. To return to the Home screen, press the Xbox button  to open the guide, and then select Home.
  2. Scroll right to Store, and then select Games at the top of the screen.
  3. Scroll down and select Search all games.
  4. Enter the title of the game, and then select Search. Select the game from the list.
  5. If add-ons are available for the game, they will appear below the game.

Find games, apps, add-ons, or content packs that you downloaded but uninstalled

  1. While on the Home screen, scroll to the right, and then press the A button  on your controller to open My games and apps.
  2. Select Games or Apps.
  3. In the navigation pane on the left, view the Ready to Install area to view any games or apps you own that aren’t installed to your hard drive.
  4. To view game add-ons that have not yet installed to your hard drive, select a game from your Games & Apps list. Press the Menu button  and then Manage Game to see a Ready to Install section for that game.

Download add-ons you’ve purchased as part of a bundle

If multiple add-ons were included in a single purchase, such as a season pass or a Limited Edition game bundle, you may need to download them separately. There are two ways to download the individual items:

  • Inside the game, look for a store. Find what’s included in the season pass, and do your downloading there.
  • Download the individual add-ons from the Store. Here’s how:
    1. While on the Home screen, scroll to the right, and then press the A button  on your controller to open My games and apps.
    2. Locate the game, and then press the Menu button .
    3. Select Manage game.
    4. In the Ready to install column, select the add-on you want to install.
    5. Press the A button  to install the add-on.

If you’re having issues downloading your add-ons, see Problems downloading a game or app on Xbox One.
