Error 69-80070057 occurs when watching a video on Xbox 360

You see the following error code when you try to watch a video on your Xbox 360 console:

69-80070057

This may mean one of the following:

  • The file format of the video is not supported by Xbox 360, so you can’t play the video.
  • Part of the video is corrupted.

If you see error 69-80070057 during playback, you may want to try to skip the corrupted part of the video. For example, in the Films & TV app, press the "A" button to display the playback controls. Then, use the playback controls to skip the corrupted part of the video.
