Xbox 360 game replacement


You can replace a damaged out-of-warranty Microsoft game disc under the terms and conditions of the Microsoft Game Disc Replacement Programme. Before contacting us for a replacement, please note the following:

  • If your Xbox 360 console can't play a disc, first try using the Xbox Disc Drive Solution to resolve the problem.
  • The Microsoft Game Disc Replacement Programme applies ONLY to games published by Microsoft and is subject to availability. If the game is published by another company, contact that company for a replacement disc. To browse Microsoft games, go to Xbox 360 Marketplace.

How to get a replacement disc

To get a Microsoft game replacement disc, follow these steps:

  1. Order a replacement disc from the Xbox Online Service Centre.

    Note You must register your console to place an order. There’s a small cost, and you must pay by credit card.

  2. Send us your non-working disc. Include the service request number of your disc replacement order. You'll see the postal address when you place your order.
  3. We'll send you a replacement game disc after we receive your damaged disc. We'll also verify that the Microsoft Disc Replacement Programme Terms and Conditions are met.
  4. You should receive the replacement disc 5 to 10 days after we receive the damaged disc.

Microsoft Game Disc Replacement Programme Terms and Conditions


  • You must enclose one damaged disc for each disc to be replaced.
  • You must be over 18 years of age.
  • We will not send a replacement disc unless more than 90% of the damaged disc is enclosed.
  • You must pay by credit card. The payment is not refundable. This programme can't be used in conjunction with any other offer or programme.
  • We will replace the game disc only for the same game title that you return. We will not return the game case and game documents.
  • Your name and address must match the name and address on your credit card billing statement. This is the address that's used for delivery of the replacement disc. Microsoft is not responsible for shipment to an incomplete or incorrect address.
  • This programme is for CONSUMER END-USERS only. You must include your Xbox 360 console serial number for each order. You can request one (1) replacement of each game title.
  • Materials that you submit become Microsoft property and are not returned. Microsoft is not responsible for any lost submissions.
  • This limited-time programme is subject to availability, and subject to change without notice.
  • Microsoft may replace only selected titles and has no obligation to replace all titles or any particular title.
  • Incomplete or incorrect submissions will be returned to you.
  • These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the parties and supersede any agreements or communications (whether oral or written) regarding the Programme.
