Troubleshooting power issues with Kinect for Windows v2 sensor

If you are experiencing power issues with your Kinect for Windows v2 sensor, the table below offers possible solutions based on the colour of the LED light on the Kinect Hub.

Hub LED colour Status Solution

White

AC power is working and the cable to the PC is connected.

Your Kinect Hub has power and is connected to a PC as designed.

Orange

AC power is working, but the sensor is not connected to the PC.

Make sure that the USB3 cable provided with your Kinect sensor is firmly connected to both the Kinect Hub and your USB3 host PC. Try connecting the sensor to a different PC that meets the system requirements.

No LED

The Kinect sensor is not connected to a power source.

Make sure that the AC power cable is securely inserted directly into a wall socket and the Kinect Hub. Try another wall socket that you know is working.

If the sensor still doesn’t respond, go to Kinect for Windows v2 repair to request a replacement.
