Multitasking with Snap on Xbox One

Snap overview

Snap expands the way you use your Xbox One console. By snapping apps, you can combine the activities that are most important to you.

When you snap an app, you open it on one side of your screen, where it continues to run while you do something else on the main part of the screen. For instance, while playing a game, you can snap the Twitch app to watch a video, or snap Game DVR to record game clips.

You can use voice commands or the Xbox One controller to snap an app.

Note Only certain apps can be snapped—see which ones in the guide.
