Channel list or show information is incorrect or doesn’t appear in the OneGuide

Overview

Under certain circumstances, the Xbox OneGuide may not display your channel lineup, may show incorrect information or may not show any information at all. This is generally due to either incorrect settings or a delay in receiving information from your cable or satellite provider.

Solutions

Solution 1: Connect to Xbox Live

OneGuide information is provided by Xbox Live and requires you to connect to Live to keep up-to-date. How often you need to connect to Xbox Live depends on how frequently your cable or satellite provider updates their guide information. As a rule of thumb, most customers will want to connect every few days to stay up to date.

If you have trouble connecting to Xbox Live, see About Xbox Live or Xbox Live first-time connection solution.

Solution 2: Check your cable or satellite provider settings

Xbox One needs accurate information about your TV provider and channel lineup to populate the OneGuide. To manually get the latest channel information:

  1. From Home, navigate left and select Settings or say “Xbox, go to Settings”.

  1. Review the OneGuide details to make sure that your postcode, TV provider and TV lineup are correct. If you’re not sure which TV lineup is correct, you may need to contact your TV provider for more information.

  1. If any of the settings are incorrect, select the postcode information under OneGuide to reconfigure your cable provider settings.

Solution 3: Wait 30 minutes

If you’ve just set up or changed your OneGuide configuration, you may need to wait up to 30 minutes to receive a channel lineup.

Solution 4: Show standard-definition channels

Xbox One may be set to hide standard-definition channels. Disabling this feature means that you’ll see all channels in your lineup, potentially even the same channel in both standard and high-definition versions.

To disable the duplicate channel feature:

  1. From Home, select Settings or say “Xbox, go to Settings”.
  2. Select TV & cable.
