There's someone in your family you don't recognise

On Xbox One, you see that there's someone in your family whom you didn't add and don't recognise.

Solution

  • If no one in your household recognises an account that's showing in your family, an adult in your family can remove it. See Remove a family member from your family.
  • If you think that one or more or of your family accounts have been hacked, have each family member reset their password.
  • Check your accounts to see if there have been any changes made to or charges made using your account. See the Compromised Account Solution.
  • If changes have been made to your account that you can't reverse or if there are charges you didn't make, contact Xbox Support.
