Change your Xbox Live country or region in your billing information

You can change your Xbox Live country or region in your contact information on the billing site on Xbox.com, or you can change it using your Xbox One or Xbox 360 console.

Making the changes on your console is a two-step process that involves first changing your location in your settings, and then in your billing information.

Changing your country or region

Online steps: Change your country or region

You can change the country or region or add another country or region to your billing contact information.

Warning When you change the country or region for your billing contact information, you're also changing the country or region for your Xbox Live account. If you don't want the country or region for your Xbox Live account changed, leave this information as it is. For information about what happens when you change the country or region for your Xbox Live account, see Change the region of your Xbox Live account .

  1. Go to the Xbox.com site for your new region.
    For example, if you want to add Canadian billing contact information, go to xbox.com/en-ca.
  2. Enter the email address and password for your Microsoft account, and then click Sign In.
  3. Add a credit card for your new region and enter the billing address for your new region.

Xbox One console steps: Change your country or region

Note Xbox One may not be available in all locales.

First, update your settings to your new location and restart your console. Then, update your billing information. Here's how:

Step 1: Update your settings to your new location

  1. On your Xbox One console, sign in using your Xbox Live gamertag.
  2. Go to Settings.

  3. Select your new location from the list and then select Restart now.

Step 2: Update your billing information

  1. On your Xbox One console, sign in using your Xbox Live gamertag.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Select Payment & billing.

Xbox 360 console steps: Change your country or region

Step 1: Update your settings to your new location

To change the country or region setting on your Xbox 360 console, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Settings, and then select System.
  2. Select Console Settings.
  3. Select Language and Locale.
  4. Select Locale.
  5. Select the locale that you want to use.

Step 2: Update your billing information

  1. Go to Settings and then select Account.

  1. On the Account Management screen, scroll to the right and select Billing Information.

  1. Enter your password when prompted.

  1. After you’ve entered your password, select Done.
  2. On the next screen, select Sign In.
  3. On the Billing Information screen, update your billing address.

  2. On the next screen that tells you your billing information has been saved, select OK.
