Xbox LIVE Marketplace solutions

Status code: 80153003 or 80153016

Try the following solutions to fix these status codes:

Solution 1: Clear your system cache

The system cache contains temporary files that are used by the Xbox 360 console. Clearing the system cache may fix this problem. Follow these steps:

  1. Clear your Xbox 360 system cache.
  2. Restart your console.
  3. Try to buy the item again from Xbox LIVE.

If you get the same status code, try the next solution.

Solution 2: Clear your Marketplace system cache

The Xbox 360 console also stores temporary files for Xbox LIVE Marketplace. Clearing the Marketplace cache may fix this problem. Follow these steps:

  1. On your console, go to Settings and then select System.
  2. Select Storage and then select your primary storage device.
  3. Select System Items.
  4. Select Marketplace System Data.
  5. Select Delete.
  6. Restart your console.
  7. Try to buy the item again from Xbox LIVE.

If you still get status code 80153003 or 80153016, call Xbox Support.

Status code: 8015341E

The 8015341E status code usually means there is a temporary billing service problem with Xbox LIVE. To fix this problem:

  • Retry the purchase immediately. Sometimes there are temporary problems with our billing service. Try making your purchase again.

Note If the previous purchase was not successful, you will not be charged Microsoft Points a second time.

  • Wait 24-72 hours and try the purchase again. If your second purchase attempt is also unsuccessful, wait 24-72 hours and then try making the purchase again.
If the problem persists beyond 72 hours, please call Xbox Support.

Status code 8058f041

This error occurs when you try to purchase a fight in the UFC app with a credit or debit card that has a current decline violation. An overdue balance is present on the credit or debit card associated to your Xbox LIVE account that you are trying to use. This overdue balance has to be paid before you can use the credit or debit card to make another purchase.

Solution 1: Log on to Xbox.com and switch to a new credit card

You can switch your subscription to another credit or debit card. This transfers the overdue balance on your Xbox LIVE account to the new card and then charges the new card for the overdue amount on your Xbox LIVE account. See Manage your Xbox LIVE payment options.

Solution 2: Remove the card

If your balance is written off because of non-payment, you can remove the credit or debit card. See Remove a payment option from your Xbox LIVE account.

If you still receive status code 8058f041, contact Xbox Support.

‘No Content Available’ or ‘This account is not permitted to download content with this rating’

These messages appear when:

  • The online safety settings for your Xbox LIVE account do not allow access to Xbox LIVE Indie Games.
  • The account you are using is a child account. The account type (child or adult) is determined by the birthdate you entered when the Xbox LIVE account was created.
  • You are using a secondary account on a Family Pack Membership.

To fix this problem, try the following solutions:

Solution 1: Check your online safety settings

  1. Sign in to Xbox LIVE on your console.
  2. Go to Settings and then select Privacy.
  3. Select Change Settings.
  4. Select Customise.
  5. Select Member Content and then select Everyone.

Note If your account is an Xbox LIVE child account, a parent will need to enter his or her Windows Live ID information to change this setting.

Try buying the content again.

If you get the same error message, try the next solution.

Solution 2: Check your Family Settings

  1. Go to Settings and then select Family.

Tip Not seeing Family? You might be using an older version of the console software. See Update your Xbox 360 console software for information on how to update your console software.

  1. If you have parental controls set, enter the pass code.
  2. Select Restricted Content and then select Show All Content.

If you get the same error message, try the next solution.

Solution 3: Xbox LIVE Family Pack

If you get the same error message, your Xbox LIVE account might be part of a Family Pack Membership. If your Xbox LIVE account was not used to sign up for the Gold Family Pack membership, it is a secondary account.

If you are using a Family Pack secondary account, you can either:

  • Purchase content from Marketplace on Xbox.com and add the content to your Xbox 360 download queue (the content will be downloaded the next time your console is turned on).

    -or-

  • Purchase content using the primary Family Pack account on your console. Content purchased by an account on your console can be played by all accounts on your console.

‘This item is not available from your current location’

This message appears when you try to purchase or download content that is not licensed for the country where you are located. Xbox LIVE determines your geographic location based on your console’s IP address when you sign in. You cannot purchase or download content that is not licensed for your country or region.

You can also get this message if you have an Xbox LIVE child account and your Xbox LIVE account region is New Zealand. Xbox LIVE child accounts cannot download content or purchase Microsoft Points in New Zealand.

‘Buy Now’ is displayed for an item in your Download History

Normally, you can download items from your download history for no additional charge. Make sure that the item is in your download history. Here’s how:

  1. On your console, sign in to Xbox LIVE.
  2. Go to Settings and then select Account.
  3. Select Download History.
  4. Select the item in your download history and select Download Again.

Note If an item does not appear in your console’s download history, it may have been purchased using a different Xbox LIVE account. To see what you purchased on your Xbox LIVE account, please see Check your Xbox LIVE bill.

If an item appears in your download history with the option to Buy Now, try the solutions below.

Solution 1: Restart your console

Restart your console and sign back into Xbox LIVE. If the item in your download history still appears with Buy Now, try the next solution.

Solution 2: Purchase the item again (you should not be charged)

Go ahead and choose the Buy Now option to download the item again. Even though it seems like you’ll be charged again, you should not be charged any additional points because you have already purchased the content.

To make sure that your Xbox LIVE account was not billed a second time, learn how to Check your Xbox LIVE bill.

If you see a duplicate charge on your Xbox LIVE account, call Xbox Support.

This game's region does not match this console

Some Xbox 360 "Games on Demand" games only work in specific regions. When an Xbox 360 console is manufactured, it is configured to play games from the region where the console was sold – for example: Europe, North America or Japan.

This error means that your Xbox 360 console does not match the region of your Xbox LIVE membership, or you are viewing Xbox LIVE Marketplace for a different region.

To fix this problem, make sure that your Xbox LIVE account region matches your console region (the country where you purchased your console). For example, if you purchased your console in the United States, your Xbox LIVE account needs to be created in the United States in order to play games for the United States.

If your Xbox LIVE account region does not match your console’s region, you can either use another console manufactured in same region as your Xbox LIVE account or create a new Xbox LIVE account.

You have reached your daily purchase limit

There is a limit on how many Microsoft Points you can purchase in a single day. You have reached the limit.
