Turn off auto renewal or cancel your Xbox LIVE Gold Membership

The recommended option for cancelling your Xbox LIVE Gold Membership is to turn off automatic renewal. With automatic renewal “off”, your membership will expire at the end of its term. To do this:

1. Go to My Account.
2. Click Sign In (upper-right corner) and type your Windows Live ID information (if you’re not already signed in).
3. Next to Automatic Renewal, click Change.
4. Change your automatic renewal setting to OFF.

Important: Important: If you turn off auto-renewal, your Xbox LIVE Gold Membership will expire at the end of your paid membership time. Until then, you can continue to enjoy all the benefits of Xbox LIVE membership.

Immediately disabling your account will forfeit the remaining time on your membership.
