Your gamertag was last signed in on another console

Why am I getting this message?

If you downloaded your Xbox Live profile to a console other than the console you normally use, you might see the following message when signing in to your profile on your home console:

Gamertag was last signed in on another console.

What do I need to do if I see this message?

This message means that the last time you signed in to your profile, you used another console. If this is true, go ahead and have fun. The message is just a notification.

If you frequently play games at a friend’s house, you might want to password protect your Xbox Live profile so no one else can sign in using it. For information on how to do this, see Password protect your Xbox Live profile.

What should I do if I didn't download my profile to another console?

If you get this message and you didn’t sign in to your Xbox Live profile on another console recently, your account might be compromised. For more information about what to do if you think your account has been hacked, see the Compromised Account Solution.

For more information about account security, see Microsoft account security.
