Cancel your Xbox Music Pass

Cancel your Xbox Music Pass immediately

To cancel your Xbox Music Pass immediately, contact Xbox Support by clicking the "Contact us" link at the bottom of this page. If you cancel immediately, you lose access to the Xbox Music service for the remainder of your paid subscription period.

To cancel your Xbox Music Pass at the end of your current term, turn off auto-renewal by following the steps below.

Cancel your Xbox Music Pass at the end of your current term

With automatic renewal turned off, your membership will not renew at the end of its term. Here's how to turn automatic renewal off:

  1. In a browser, sign in to Xbox Live using your Microsoft account at any xbox.com page (such as this one).

Note Make sure that you sign in using the Microsoft account associated with the Xbox Live account that you want to manage. If you don't know your Microsoft Account (email address and password), see Find your Microsoft account.
    1. After you've signed in, click My Account.

    1. At the My Account page, click Xbox Music.

    1. Next to AUTOMATIC RENEWAL, click Change (unless AUTOMATIC RENEWAL is already Off).

      The following Microsoft Account page will be displayed:

    1. Follow the instructions on the Microsoft Account page:
      1. Check your Microsoft account email (that is, the email account associated with your Xbox Live account). You should get an email message from the "Microsoft account team" that looks like this:

      1. Copy the code from the "Here is your code" line.
      2. At the Microsoft Account page, paste the code into the Code field, and then click Submit.

    1. The Cancel Auto Payment page will be displayed. On this page, selectOFF.

    1. Next, you’ll see the Cancel Auto-Payment page with a notice stating when your Xbox Music Pass will end. Click CONTINUE at the bottom of that page.

      Auto-renewal for your Xbox Music Pass is now turned off. Click Return to your Xbox Account or click My account to sign out.
