How to get your Xbox product repaired

Repair steps

Getting your Xbox 360 console or Kinect sensor repaired is easy. Send us your non-working Xbox product and we will repair it. Here’s how it works:

Step 1: Register your Xbox product (if you haven't already)

You’ll need:

Step 2: Submit an online repair

  • Let us know what problem you’re having with the product.
  • We’ll let you know if the product is in warranty.
    In-warranty repair: Free
    Out-of-warranty repair for the original Xbox 360 console: €80 plus tax (submitted online) or €110 plus tax (submitted over the phone)
    Out-of-warranty repair for the Xbox 360 E console or the Xbox 360 S console: €80 plus tax (submitted online) or €110 plus tax (submitted over the phone)

  • If the product is out of warranty, we’ll let you know the repair cost.
  • American Express, Visa, MasterCard and Discover credit cards are accepted

Check your warranty status (sign in with your Microsoft account if needed).

Time to complete: About 2 minutes

Step 3: Send us the product

  • Remove all accessories and put only the console or sensor in a box for postage.
  • Attach the provided postage label to the box and send it to our service centre.
  • You can check the repair status by going to myservice.xbox.com.

Time to complete: About 3 to 4 days

Step 4: We service your product

Time to complete: About 10 to 17 days

The total repair time is 14 to 21 days (includes postage time). Average service times are listed below by country.

Note The service time is an estimate and begins once we receive your console at our service centre.

Post-service warranty

We provide a post-service warranty for serviced consoles. The length of the warranty depends on whether the service was in-warranty or out-of-warranty as follows:

  • In-warranty service: If your Xbox 360 console is serviced within the original warranty period (free repair), you receive either the balance of your original warranty or 90 days, whichever is longer.
  • Out-of-warranty service: If your Xbox 360 console is serviced out of the original warranty period (paid repair), your serviced console will have a 90-day warranty.
