Xbox LIVE subscription promotions FAQ

Below are answers to common questions about fulfilment of promotional items that are occasionally offered as a bonus for signing up for the Xbox LIVE service.

Common issues

I haven’t received my game, promotional Microsoft Points or digital item from my subscription offer

Codes for downloadable games, digital items, and promotional Microsoft Points are sent to the email address that’s tied to the Xbox LIVE account at the time the code is sent. In most cases, these codes are sent within 10 weeks of the offer expiry date.

In some cases, points are deposited directly into your Xbox LIVE account. This direct deposit will generally occur within 10 weeks, and you won’t receive a confirmation email about it.

Note Valid email address required; any promotional redemption code or gift not redeemed or claimed, or returned as non-deliverable, will not be re-sent. Microsoft will not be responsible for any late, lost, misrouted or non-delivered emails – or any other network, Internet or other computer- or communications-related failures – caused by events beyond the reasonable control of Microsoft.

Do promotional Microsoft Points expire?

Yes, all promotional Microsoft Points do expire.

If you received points between the dates of July 1 and December 31, they will expire on June 30 of the following calendar year.

If you received points between the dates of January 1 and June 30, they will expire on December 31 of that same calendar year.

If you received a code for points via email, check that email message for the expiry details on each specific offer. Promotional redemption codes will be sent to the email address tied to your Xbox LIVE account.

Points may also be deposited directly into your Xbox LIVE account. This direct deposit will generally occur within 10 weeks and you will not receive a confirmation email.

I signed up for an offer, and I didn’t receive an email confirmation

All emails will be sent to the email address tied to your Xbox LIVE account, in most cases within 10 weeks of the date that you agreed to the offer. A valid email address and Microsoft account is required. Also, check your junk email filters and folders for email delivery.
