You see the following error and message when you try to download a console software update to your Xbox 360 console:
This may mean that the update failed to download to your console.
To resolve this problem, try the following solutions. If a solution doesn't work, go to the next one.
Solution 1: Download the update again
Solution 2: Check your Xbox Live connection

Solution 3: Make sure you have enough storage space
The latest console software update requires at least 190 megabytes (MB) of storage space (or 256 MB if you live in Japan). If you don't have enough free space, you'll need to move or delete some items. To do this, see Copy, move, or delete Xbox saved games, profiles and avatar items.
Solution 4: Clear the system cache
Removing the temporary files on your console might solve the problem. Follow the instructions at How to clear the cache on Xbox 360, then try downloading the update again.
Solution 5: Reinsert the storage device
After you replace the storage device, try downloading the update again.
Solution 6: Copy the update to a USB flash drive, to a CD, or to a DVD
Copy the console update from your computer to a USB flash drive, to a CD, or to a DVD. Then, install the update on your console. Here’s how:

Note The USB flash drive must use the FAT32 file system.

You can also download the update to your computer, then copy the update to a CD or DVD, and then install the update on your console. Here's how:
If, after you copy the update to a flash drive, a CD, or a DVD, and then you install the update on your console, you get an error code such as xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-C000-0001, contact Xbox Support.
