You can easily sign in to an Xbox One console that belongs to someone else, or that you’ve never used before, by following the steps below.
Note The settings for your account will follow you to any console that you sign in to. You won’t be able to access games saved on your own console, but you’ll be able to access content that’s saved in the cloud or that streams over the Internet, such as films and some apps.
From the Home screen, select Sign in in the upper-left corner.
Select Add new.
Type in the email address and password that you use to access your Microsoft account.
You’ll be shown a reminder of the privacy settings that you’ve set for your account. These apply to any Xbox One console that you sign in to.
Change the colours on your Home screen to differentiate between you and others using this console.
You’ll be reminded of the gamerpic that’s associated with your profile, in case it’s been a while since you’ve been online.
Control who has access to your account by selecting Keep asking for my password. Otherwise, anyone can sign in to your account without your permission. This is especially important if you are signing in to a console that you don’t own or you share with others.
When you have finished, if you haven’t saved your password on this console, you can simply sign out. The next time that you want to play here, you just need to sign in with your Microsoft account email and password.
