Pre-paid codes for Xbox Live Gold trial memberships

Some games or console bundles may include a prepaid code or token for an Xbox Live Gold trial membership. The Xbox Live Gold trial membership starts as soon as you activate the pre-paid card or token.

The following limitations and restrictions apply to Xbox Live trial tokens:

  • If you have an existing Xbox Live Gold membership, you can’t redeem a prepaid code or token to extend the membership period. You can redeem the prepaid code or token once your current subscription expires.
  • Prepaid codes or tokens are only available in certain games and bundles.
  • You can’t stack prepaid codes or tokens. You can’t start another trial period before your current trial period has finished. However, you can purchase a new Xbox Live Gold membership and start the membership at any time during the trial period.
  • Any free account member can use an unlimited number of prepaid codes or tokens to receive separate Xbox Live Gold trial memberships. Because you cannot stack prepaid codes or tokens, you must wait until your current trial period has finished before you start another trial period.
