Privacy and online safety settings on Xbox One don’t work on Xbox 360

Problem

The privacy and online safety settings that you set up on your Xbox One console aren’t working on your Xbox 360.

This is because when you set the privacy and online safety settings directly on your Xbox One console, the settings aren’t automatically applied to your Xbox 360.

Solutions

Solution 1: Manage your settings online

If you have both an Xbox One and an Xbox 360, you can manage your family’s privacy and online safety settings for both consoles by signing in to your account on www.xbox.com. For more information, see Manage privacy and online safety for Xbox One and Xbox 360 from your computer.

Solution 2: Manage your settings from each individual console

If you want to manage your Xbox One settings directly from the console rather than online, you’ll need to set up and manage your Xbox 360 settings directly from your Xbox 360 console as well.
