Create an Xbox Music playlist on your Xbox One console

Overview

Here’s how you can create and add a playlist in the Xbox Music app on Xbox One, Windows 8, Windows Phone, iPhone and Android devices, or on Xbox Music with your Xbox Music Pass.

Note If you’re an Xbox One user, you’ll also need an Xbox Live subscription to use the Xbox Music Pass.

Create a playlist

Sign in with your Microsoft account. You’ll need an Xbox Music Pass to enjoy the full features of Xbox Music.

  1. On Home, launch the app from the pre-pinned Xbox Music tile.
  2. Select Playlists using the A button.
  3. Select the plus sign (+) using the A button.
  4. Name your playlist.
  5. Once your playlist is created, select it using the A button.
  6. Start adding music to your playlist by browsing My albums or All music.
