How to sign in to separate apps using different Microsoft accounts
Sign in to separate Xbox apps using different Microsoft accounts
Here's how to sign in to separate Xbox apps on different Microsoft accounts. You may want to do this if you want to sign in to one Xbox app (for example, Xbox Music) using a different Microsoft account than you use for another Xbox app (for example, Xbox Video).
Step 1: Create a local account on your computer
Sign in to your Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 computer, then tap or click the Search charm.
Type user accounts, then tap or click Add, delete and manage other user accounts.
Under Manage other accounts, tap or click Add an account.
Under How will this person sign in, tap or click Sign in without a Microsoft account (not recommended).
Under Add a user, tap or click Local account.
Add the user name, password, and password hint for the local account, tap or click Next, then tap or click Finish.
Restart the computer.
Step 2: Sign in to the computer using your new local account
On the sign-in screen, tap or click the left-facing arrow that appears next to your name and picture.
Tap or click the local account that you just created.
Sign in using the password that you set for this account.
Step 3: Sign in to an Xbox app and select the Microsoft account you want to use for that account
On the start screen, tap or click an Xbox app (for example, Xbox Music).
In the upper-right corner, tap or click Sign In.
Under Switch to a Microsoft account on this PC, tap or click Sign into each app separately instead (not recommended).
Under Add your Microsoft account, enter the email address and password of the Microsoft account that you want to use for this app.
Note You can choose any of your Microsoft accounts to sign in to this Xbox app, but once it is set, you won't be able to change it for your new local account. However, you will be able to use a different Microsoft account for any other Xbox app.
