You can disable access to Internet Explorer on your Xbox 360 console to protect your children from content that you don’t want them to see. Read on to learn how to disable Internet browsing on a child account or how to disable access to all unrated content for anyone using your console.

Disable browsing for a child account
If you have an Xbox Gold Family account, you can configure settings for a child account that’s part of your family to disable Web browsing. Here’s how:
- Sign in to Xbox LIVE using your adult account.
- Go to Settings and select Family.
- Select the child account that you want to manage.
- Disable Web Browsing.

Disable access to unrated content
If you don’t have an Xbox LIVE Gold Family account and you want to disable access to unrated content and browsing on your console, follow these steps to set up a passcode that will let you control access to unrated content on your console. Here’s how:
- Sign in to Xbox LIVE.
- Go to Settings and select Family. The Content Controls screen will be displayed.
- Select On. Set a Passcode you will remember, along with a Pass Code Reset question and answer.
- Select Ratings and Content.
- Select Unrated Content.
- Select Blocked.
- Go Back, then Save and Exit.
