You receive an error message from the SyFy app

You might get the following error message when you use the SyFy app:

All of this has happened before, but all of this will not happen again if your Internet connection is functional. Please connect and try again.

If you get this error message, do this:

  • Wait for approximately one minute. Then, try to use the program again.
  • Check the status of the SyFy service.

You might get the following error message when you try to view a video in the SyFy app:

I’m afraid I can’t do that, Dave.

The content you requested is not available at this time. I honestly think you ought to sit down calmly, take a stress pill, and think things over. Oh, and please try again.

There was an error loading the video that you wanted to watch. You can try to view it again or browse or search the video catalog to select another video to watch.

The SyFy app does not respond

Delete the SyFy app, and then download it again:

  1. From the Xbox Dashboard, go to settings and then System.
  2. Select Storage.
  3. Select your primary storage device (most likely the Xbox 360 Hard Drive).
  4. Select Games and Apps.
  5. Find and select any items that refer to “SyFy.”
  6. Select Delete.
  7. Return to the Xbox Dashboard.
  8. Go to apps, select Browse Apps, and select SyFy.
  9. Select Confirm Download to download and install the app.
