To contact VUDU Customer Support for assistance:

Error: There is already a VUDU account with that email address

If you receive the following error message when you are creating a VUDU account from your Xbox 360 console:

    There is already a VUDU account with that email address.

You are trying to create a VUDU account with an email address that is already in use by an existing account. To resolve this, visit http://www.vudu.com and set a password on the account, and then re-launch and sign into the VUDU Movies app from your Xbox 360 console to associate your gamertag with your VUDU account.

Alternatively, you can select a different email address to create a new VUDU account.

Error: Can't reach the VUDU server

If you receive the following error message when you run the VUDU Movies app or try to watch content:

    Sorry, we could not reach the VUDU server due to a problem with your network.
    Please ensure that your connection to the Internet is working properly.

Do one of the following:

  • Wait for approximately one minute. Then, try to run VUDU Movies or view the program again.
  • Check the status of the VUDU service at the top of this page.

Error: The rental period for this movie has expired

If you receive the following error message when you try to watch a movie:

    The rental period for this movie has expired. In order to continue watching this title, you must purchase/rent it again.

Your rights to watch the content have expired. You have 30 days from the moment you rent the movie, and 24 hours from the time you first watch it, to finish watching. This message is shown if this window expires during playback.

VUDU Movies content is not playing smoothly

The VUDU Movies app does not respond

If the VUDU Movies app doesn't respond, delete and reinstall the VUDU Movies app. Here's how:

  1. From Xbox Home, go to Settings, and then select System.
  2. Select Storage.
  3. Select your primary storage device (most likely the Xbox 360 Hard Drive).
  4. Select Games and Apps.
  5. Find and select any items that refer to VUDU Movies.
  6. Select Delete.
  7. Return to Xbox Home.
  8. Go to Apps, and then select Browse Apps.
  9. Select VUDU Movies to download and install the app.
