Use the Games app in Windows 8 to buy games

In addition to managing your profile, the Games app in Windows 8 enables you to discover and purchase new games and add-ons for your Xbox 360 console and your PC.

Here’s how to buy games for your Xbox 360 console using the Games app:

1. Start the Games app from the Windows Start screen.
2. Browse Xbox 360 console content by exploring game activity or xbox 360 game store.
3. When you find an item you want to download to your console, click the Buy or Get button. When the transaction is complete, the item will be added to your console’s download queue and will be downloaded the next time your console connects to Xbox LIVE.

You can also browse for Xbox LIVE-enabled Windows PC games that are available from Windows Store. Here’s how:

1. Start the Games app from the Windows Start screen.
2. Browse the windows game marketplace for content that interests you.
3. Click the buy button to open that game in Windows Store.
4. Complete your transaction through Windows Store.

Notes

• Your Windows Store account does not use Microsoft Points and might have different payment information than your Xbox LIVE account.
• In the case of multi-platform games, purchasing a game for your Xbox 360 console does not necessarily allow you to play the PC version. Similarly, if you buy a game for your PC, the license does not necessarily entitle you to the edition of the game for your console.
