Install the Games app on Windows 8
Windows 8 includes a new Games app that lets you review your Xbox LIVE game activity and friends and to browse games and content for both your Xbox 360 console and PC.
Access the Games app
On most PCs running Windows 8, the Games app will be pre-installed. Just find the green tile with the white Xbox controller icon on it (see the sample image below), and you’re ready to go. If the app is not pre-installed, you can get it free from the Windows Store:
- From your Start screen select the Windows Store tile.
- Swipe from the right of your screen and select the Search Charm.
- Type Games.
- Find and select the green Games tile with the white Xbox controller in the search results.
- Select Install.

Problems signing in?
The Games app will automatically sign in with the Microsoft account that’s linked to your Windows profile. If you have multiple Microsoft accounts, make sure you’re using the one associated with your Xbox LIVE gamertag. For more information see Manage your Microsoft account.
