When you use your Xbox 360 console as a Windows Media Center Extender, some folders on your computer are monitored automatically. This article lists the folders that are monitored by default.
When you set up a Windows Media Center Extender, the Windows Media Center Extender software scans the folders on the computer and adds all audio, video, and picture files to the appropriate sections of Windows Media Center based on file type.
After you set up your Xbox 360 console as a Windows Media Center Extender, content in the monitored folders is reflected in Windows Media Center on your Xbox 360 console.
The following folders are monitored by default when you set up your Xbox 360 console as a Windows Media Center Extender by using a Windows 7-based computer.
Note In this list, username is the name of the user who was logged on to the computer when Windows Media Center Extender was set up.
