Change your Xbox LIVE account information

Overview

You can change the name, address, phone number, or email associated with your Xbox LIVE billing account. Here’s how.

Note If you want to change the credit card associated with your Xbox LIVE membership, please see Change your Xbox LIVE payment option.

Note You cannot change the country that is associated with your Xbox LIVE account. If you have switched countries and want to access Xbox LIVE from your new location, you have to create a new Xbox LIVE account in your new region.

Computer steps: Change your account name, address, phone number, or email

  1. Go to Billing Account Information and sign in with the Windows Live ID (email and password) that is associated with your Xbox LIVE account.

    Note If you don’t know your Windows Live ID or password, please see Manage your Windows Live ID.

  2. Make changes to your billing account information and click Save.

Console steps: Change your account address, email, or phone number

  1. On your console, sign in using your Xbox LIVE gamertag.
  2. Go to Settings, and then select Account.

  1. Go to Your Information, and then select Billing Information.

  1. Enter your Windows Live ID password, and then select Sign In.
  2. Edit your billing account information and then select Done.
