Error 80151015 occurs when signing in to your account

Problem

You see the following error code when you try to sign in to your account on your Xbox console:

Error code: 80151015

This may mean that your profile is corrupted or your Microsoft account is blocked.

Solutions

To resolve this problem, try the following solutions:

  • Update your security proofs. Follow the steps at Add and update security proofs for your Microsoft account to update your security proofs. Then, try to sign in again. If you can’t sign in after you update your security proofs, use the next procedure
  • Delete your profile and download it again. To delete your profile and download it again, follow the steps at Download, move, or delete your Xbox Live profile.
  • Clear the system cache and restart the Xbox console. Here's how:
    1. Press the Guide button on your controller.
    2. Go to Settings and select System Settings.
    3. Select Storage or Memory.

    1. Highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller. (It doesn't matter which storage device you select; the cache will be cleared for all storage devices.)
    2. Select Clear System Cache.

    1. When prompted to confirm storage device maintenance, select Yes.
    2. Restart the Xbox console and try to sign in to your account.
