Error 80151015 occurs when signing in to your account

You see the following error code when you try to sign in to your account on your Xbox 360 console:

Error code: 80151015

This may mean that your profile is corrupted or your Microsoft account is blocked.

Solutions

To resolve this problem, try the following solutions.

Solution 1: Update your security information

To learn how, follow the steps at Add security information to your Microsoft account. Then try to sign in again. If you can’t sign in after you update your security information, try the next solution.

Solution 2: Delete your profile, redownload it, and clear your cache

To resolve this issue, delete your profile and download it again. Then clear your cache and restart the console.

Step 1: Delete your profile

To delete your profile and download it again, follow the steps at Delete an Xbox Live profile from an Xbox 360 console and Download your Xbox Live profile to a different Xbox 360 console or redownload it.

Step 2: Clear the system cache and restart the Xbox console

Here's how:

  1. Press the Guide button on your controller.
  2. Go to Settings and select System Settings.
  3. Select Storage or Memory.

  1. Highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller. (It doesn't matter which storage device you select; the cache will be cleared for all storage devices.)
  2. Select Clear System Cache.

  1. When prompted to confirm storage device maintenance, select Yes.
  2. Restart the Xbox console and try to sign in to your account.

If you still can’t sign in to your account, contact Xbox Support.
