Solution 2: Verify the billing information for your Microsoft account

  1. Sign in to your Microsoft account.
  2. Go to Billing and select Billing information.
  3. Verify the billing information for your Microsoft account. For example, verify that the billing address for your Microsoft account matches the billing address used by your credit card company. Also make sure that your Microsoft account payment details, including capitalization, match the information that is used by your credit card company.
  4. Sign out of your Microsoft account, and then sign in again.
  5. Sign in to Xbox Live, and then try to download the content again.

Solution 3: Try your purchase again later

Wait and try the transaction again in 24 to 48 hours. When multiple purchase failures occur, it can prevent transactions from being processed until no purchase attempts have been made for a while (usually 24 to 48 hours).

If you keep getting the error code message after 48 hours, try the next solution.

If you keep getting the error message, contact Xbox Support.
