As recently announced, on Monday, June 27, 2016, we shared the news that we’ve made the decision to scale back support for Xbox Fitness over the next year, and we provided the community with the timeline for the service and its content through to its closing on June 30, 2017.
Q. Can I still use Xbox Fitness to watch free workout videos or content I paid for?
A. Yes, Xbox Fitness content will remain available until June 30, 2017.
Q. Can I still buy Xbox Fitness content?
A. No, Xbox Fitness content is no longer for sale as of June 27, 2016.
Q. How does the credit for Xbox Fitness customers work?
A. Customers who purchased Xbox Fitness content will be eligible to receive a credit in their Microsoft account equivalent to the content amount they purchased. Credits will be deposited directly to their Microsoft account and can be used to make purchases in the Xbox and Windows Stores.
Q. How much will my credit be?
A. Credit will vary for each customer. Your credit will be for an equivalent amount to your purchases in Xbox Fitness—for example, if you bought a $12 workout video, you’ll receive a $12 credit.
Q. When will I receive my credit?
A. Xbox Fitness users will receive their credit within 90 days.
Q. Does my credit expire?
A. Yes, unused credits will expire one year from the day of deposit.
Q. I received my credit, but it shows an expiration date earlier than December 31, 2017. Why is that?
A. Though the credit is valid through December 31, 2017, some customers may see a notice on their accounts stating that it’ll expire in August 2017. If you see this notice, be assured that any unspent credit will be automatically extended through December 31, 2017. No action on your part is required.
Q. How can I check the status of my credit?
A. Visit account.microsoft.com and look for “Money and gift cards” on the lower left side of the screen.
