Connecting your sensor

The Kinect sensor cable should be directly connected to the back of your Xbox 360 console. Do not use a USB hub or USB extension cable to connect the Kinect sensor to your console. Learn how to connect your sensor.

Using an Xbox 360 HD DVD Player

  • Unplug the Xbox 360 HD DVD Player from the back of your Xbox 360 console, and then plug it into a USB port on the front of the console.
  • Do not plug the Kinect sensor cable into the back of your Xbox 360 HD DVD player.
