To add your locally stored videos to Xbox Video on Windows 8 or Windows RT:
Note If your video content is stored externally (for example, on a USB flash drive or an external hard drive), you can copy or move the content to any folder that is listed in the Video Library Locations window, and then the Video app will detect the content.
If you have videos stored on a network or network access storage (NAS) drive, note that the Video app currently only supports content stored on network shares hosted by Windows operating systems. Windows Search and Desktop Experience features must be installed and Indexing enabled for the share. Once these are installed and enabled, you may have to rebuild the index to have network shares function correctly with the Video app.
