Troubleshoot the ESPN App

Overview

To access ESPN on Xbox Live, you need the following:

  • To be signed into an Xbox Live Account from within the United States.
  • For live and on-demand sports, you must have an ESPN3.com-affiliated ISP (Internet service provider). If you do not have an ESPN3.com-affiliated ISP, you can watch only daily clips and highlights from ESPN.com. For more information, see Help/FAQ on the ESPN website.

Troubleshoot

The ESPN App asks me for an access code and I can't see any live or on-demand events

In order to access live and on-demand events, your Internet service provider (ISP) must be affiliated with ESPN3.com.

List of ESPN3.com participating providers

If you can watch live and on-demand events on ESPN3.com from your computer, you should be able to watch live and on-demand events using the ESPN App.

Some events are blacked out for me

Some events are subject to blackout, if there’s a regional or local rights-holder (for example, a broadcast station or regional sports network) in your market. Check your local TV listings to find out where these events are being broadcasted.

I can't find the event I want to watch and I know it’s on ESPN on TV

The ESPN App and ESPN3.com deliver thousands of live games and events each year, however, some events are not available for broadcast over the Internet.

I meet the requirements, but I can't access ESPN3.com
