The ESPN app on Xbox 360 is a powerful way to get your daily sports fix. Choose from thousands of live events, highlights, and replays in full 720p HD—all from Xbox Live.

The following video shows you how to use the ESPN app.

  • My Sports, my way. Choose your favorite sports and teams, and the ESPN app will automatically provide you with a personalized daily feed of live events, news, and highlights based on “My Sports,” catching you up on your teams and sports whenever you want.
  • Breadth of ESPN content featuring ESPN on Xbox Live, ESPN3, and ESPN.com. The ESPN app is a powerful way to get your daily sports fix. With thousands of live events, highlights, and on-demand replays in HD, you'll never miss a moment of the action.
  • Gesture control and voice control with Kinect for Xbox Live. Focus on your team instead of looking for the remote. Navigate through the content guide; skip to the next highlight; or play, pause, and rewind that big play—all with the wave of your hand or the sound of your voice.

Download the ESPN app

  1. On your console, sign in to Xbox Live.
  2. From the Xbox Dashboard, go to apps, and then select Browse Apps or Search Apps.
  3. Browse or search for and then select ESPN.
  4. Once the ESPN app is downloaded, go to apps, My Apps, and then ESPN.

You can also start the ESPN app by going to video, and then My Video Apps.

What you need to watch ESPN on Xbox Live

To get started, you need the following:

  • To be signed in to an Xbox Live account.
  • For live and on-demand sports through ESPN3, you must have an ESPN3.com-affiliated Internet service provider (ISP). If you don’t have an ESPN3.com-affiliated ISP, you can only watch daily clips and highlights from ESPN.com. For more information, see Watch ESPN FAQs.

Set up ESPN on Xbox 360

  1. On your console, sign in using your Xbox Live gamertag.
  2. Go to apps, select My Apps, and then select ESPN.
  3. Select an ESPN event or program.
  4. Select Choose your provider. You'll be presented with an activation code and a URL where you can activate the app.
  5. Using your computer or mobile device, go to the URL shown on your Xbox screen and enter the code you received.
    Note The URL you use to activate the ESPN app depends on which provider you choose.
  6. Once you’ve completed these steps, press Y on your controller to bring up the Content Guide.

  1. Browse the available content: live events, highlights, and replays.
  2. Select the content that you want to watch.

Add your favorites

You can add the sports, leagues, and teams you care about to give you quick and easy access to them. To add to your favorites:

  1. Press Y twice on your controller to bring up the Content Guide. (If you don’t see the “Y” option on your screen, press B on your controller until “Y” comes up as an option.)
  2. Go to My Sports.
  3. Select Add Your Favorites.
  4. Pick your favorite sports, leagues, and teams to add them as favorites.
  5. To add more favorites later, do steps 1 and 2, and then select Manage Favorites.
