MOVIEPLEX Play app help on Xbox 360

Overview

This article describes how to resolve problems with the MOVIEPLEX Play app on Xbox 360.

Xbox Live connection problems

If MOVIEPLEX Play is not functioning smoothly on your console, you may have a connectivity problem. See Troubleshoot Xbox 360 connection to Xbox Live.

If your Xbox 360 console is not providing good-quality video or audio, see Xbox 360 audio or video problems.

The MOVIEPLEX Play app doesn't respond

If the MOVIEPLEX Play app doesn’t respond, delete and reinstall it. Here’s how:

  1. From the Xbox Dashboard, go to settings and then System.
  2. Select Storage.
  3. Select your primary storage device.
  4. Select Games and Apps.
  5. Find and select any items that refer to "MOVIEPLEX Play."
  6. Select Delete.
  7. From the Xbox Dashboard, go to apps and then Browse apps.
  8. Select the MOVIEPLEX Play app.
  9. Select Confirm Download to download and install the app.

If you keep getting this error, contact Xbox Support.

Error messages

You may get one of the following error messages when using the MOVIEPLEX Play app.

Connectivity errors

  • Sorry, the MOVIEPLEX Play server isn’t available right now. Please select the retry button below or try again later. For more information, go to www.xbox.com/status.
  • The Application has encountered an unexpected error and will now exit.
  • MOVIEPLEX Play Server unavailable.
  • A server or network error has occurred. Please try again later.
  • An unknown error has occurred.
  • An internal error has occurred.

Go to the Xbox Live Status page to ensure there’s not an issue with the service provider.

If there's no issue and you receive this error message when you try to launch the MOVIEPLEX Play app, or when you try to play content within the app, wait for approximately one minute. Then, try to launch the app again.

If you continue to receive this error, delete the MOVIEPLEX Play app and reinstall.

If this doesn't resolve your problem, contact Xbox Support.

Application errors

  • The item you were looking for is no longer available.
  • The video cannot be played at this time.
  • A missing data error has occurred.
  • Sorry, the video you were interested in is no longer available.

If you get this error, wait for approximately one minute. Then, try to launch the content again.

If you continue to receive this error, return to the previous menu and select a different piece of content to watch.
