Set up and use the TWC TV app on Xbox 360

App requirements

To watch TWC TV app on your Xbox 360 console, you need:

  • To be signed into an Xbox Live account.
  • At least 131 megabytes (MB) of available storage space.
  • Standard Time Warner Cable (TWC) TV service or higher and a TWC-authorized modem.

Download the TWC TV app

  1. On your console, sign in with your Xbox Live gamertag.
  2. Go to apps, and then select Browse Apps or Search Apps.
  3. Browse for the TWC TV app.
  4. Select the TWC TV app, and then select Download.
  5. Select Confirm Purchase to download and install the app.

To start the TWC TV app later, go to apps, My Apps, and then select TWC TV for Xbox 360.

Watch the TWC TV app

Go to apps, select My Apps, and then select TWC TV.

  1. The first time that you start the TWC TV app, you see the End User License Agreement. You must accept this agreement to continue. You won’t see this screen again once you agree to the terms. Select Agree.
  1. On the Welcome to TWC TV! screen, enter your TWC user name and password, and then select Login.
    Note You won’t have to enter your user name and password again unless you log out from the app.
    • If you’re a Time Warner Cable TV and Internet subscriber but don’t yet have a user name and password, register at
    • If you’re not a subscriber to TWC for cable TV and Internet service, you must first sign up for those services.
  1. After successful activation, you’ll see the Congratulations screen. Select Continue to TWC TV to continue.

    Note If you have a sign-in problem or need help with your account, contact Time Warner:

    • Visit the Time Warner website,
    • Contact Time Warner Cable Support at 800-TWCABLE (892-2253) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  2. From the My TWC hub, you can watch any of the featured programs displayed in the center, or use the following options:
    • Live Guide – to browse and enjoy up to 300 channels of live TV.
    • Recently Watched – to quickly get access to the shows or series you’ve been recently watching.
    • Favorites – to access the content you’ve tagged for later viewing
    • Friend’s Activity – to check out what your friends have been watching and keep up on popular series.

    You can also browse content by the following categories:

    • TV Shows – Locate the next great series by browsing all TV shows across all networks.
    • Movies – Find all the best movies in one place.
    • Kids – Use this option as a direct path to the content that will make you and your kids happy.
    • News – Access all news content on one hub.
    • Sports – See all available sports content in one place.
    • Search – Quickly find content by name.
  1. Select something to watch, and then select Play.

Dissociate your TWC account from the TWC TV app

To dissociate your TWC account from the app, log out of the TWC TV app:

  1. From the My TWC hub, scroll to the far right to access the Settings hub.
  2. Select Sign out of TWC TV.

Note After you log out, you’ll have to enter your user name and password again when you start TWC TV the next time.

Use Family Settings to control access to content

If you use Family Settings to control what kinds of movies and TV shows can be watched through Xbox Live on your console, the TWC TV app will follow those settings. For example, if you prohibit TV-MA-rated TV shows from being watched, those programs will be marked with a "restricted video" icon in the TWC TV for Xbox 360 app. To play a restricted item, an adult must enter the Family Settings pass code.
